Vesna Tornjanski is a scholarly researcher, senior banking professional, and technology expert with more than 20 years of experience in banking, complemented by an extensive academic research portfolio and a growing specialization in emerging technologies. Her work brings together deep expertise in banking, organizational resilience, governance, and transformation with research and professional engagement in Human-AI interaction, responsible innovation, and human-centered systems.
Over the course of her 20+ year banking career, Vesna has developed extensive expertise in Business Continuity Management (BCM), Project Management (PM), Business Process Management (BPM), governance, strategic planning, organizational resilience, and transformation. She has contributed to more than 70 banking projects, including complex system integrations, process optimization initiatives, and large-scale strategic programs, gaining broad experience at the intersection of business, technology, processes, and organizational change.
Her international technology experience includes a professional engagement with Ethos Artificial Intelligence GP SA, based in London, United Kingdom, with operations in New York, United States. In this capacity, she serves as an independent expert, contributing domain expertise and structured human feedback to Human–AI interaction and the evaluation of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs). Her work supports the development of AI systems capable of producing accurate, consistent, context-aware, and business-relevant outputs.
Vesna holds a PhD from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade, Serbia, where she developed an interdisciplinary research orientation spanning analytical thinking, organizational science, technology, society, and human-centered perspectives. She has authored and co-authored more than 40 scientific papers, including publications indexed in Scopus and articles published in journals listed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR).
As a leading author contributing to the development of the Society 6.0 concept, Vesna’s research connects the Society 6.0 vision with the HSDGs and the 5Ps framework. Her work explores how human-centered systems, technological advancement, sustainability, resilience, and societal well-being can be integrated to support the evolution of a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable society. At the core of this research is the conviction that technological progress should ultimately serve human well-being, social value, and long-term prosperity.
Her international academic engagement includes serving as an Honorary Research Fellow at INTI International University, Malaysia, an active peer reviewer, and an Editorial Board Member of the Econophysics, Sociophysics & Other Multidisciplinary Sciences Journal (ESMSJ).
