Vesna Tornjanski is a scholarly researcher and senior banking professional whose distinguished career bridges academia and the financial services sector. With more than 20 years of experience in banking, she specializes in Business Continuity Management (BCM), Project Management (PM), Business Process Management (BPM), and operational leadership.
Her rigorous academic formation at the renowned Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade, Serbia, has equipped her with advanced research competencies, a forward-thinking and critical mindset, and the creativity and independence to navigate complex academic and real-world challenges.
Most recently, she served as a Business Continuity Planning Expert in the banking sector in Serbia, leading Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) development and resilience initiatives aligned with ISO standards and regulatory requirements. Throughout her professional career, Vesna has successfully delivered more than 70 banking projects, including system integrations, process optimization programs, and large-scale transformation initiatives across banking operations and project environments.
Alongside her professional work, she has built a strong international academic profile with more than 40 authored and co-authored scientific papers, including publications indexed in Scopus and journals listed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR). She is also an active peer reviewer, Editorial Board member of SHIFAA Journal and Econophysics, Sociophysics & Other Multidisciplinary Sciences (ESMSJ), and Research Fellow at INTI International University, Malaysia.
